This dataset describes thirty years (1980-2009) of vegetation recovery from volcanic events on Mount St. Helens established from 92 permanent sampling plots and accounting for 85 species.
Dataset Location: Ecological Archives
Site Location: Mount St. Helens
Sites Georefferenced: Yes
Timespan: 1980-2009
Methods: Circular plots (250m²) are established based on the impact types from the volcano blast arrayed along transects. Additional transects are established from the center pole of the circular plot at 90^(o) angles. Individuals were identified within quadrats placed along these secondary transects.
Data Collected: species, richness, plot cover, diversity, evenness, mean species frequency
