JODC Plankton Dataset

The Japan Oceanographic Data Center (JODC) complies plankton observations by Japan's Coast Guard, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan, Japan Meteorology Agency, Ministry of the Environment, and local governments. The data are available at OBIS. The OBIS compiled data includes species name, individual count, lat/lon, and some environmental correlates like depth and salinity.
