Overview:
This dataset describes thirty years (1980-2009) of vegetation recovery from volcanic events on Mount St. Helens established from 92 permanent sampling plots and accounting for 85 species.
Dataset Location: Ecological Archives
Site Location: Mount St. Helens
Sites Georefferenced: Yes
Timespan: 1980-2009
Methods: Circular plots (250m2) are established based on the impact types from the volcano blast arrayed along transects. Additional transects are established from the center pole of the circular plot at 90o angles. Individuals were identified within quadrads placed along these secondary transects.
Data Collected: species, richness, plot cover, diversity, evenness, mean species frequency
